Two western suburbs cricketers selected in WA’s team for Under-17s National Cricket Championships

WESTERN suburbs cricketers Hamish McKenzie and James Pike will represent WA in the Under-17s National Cricket Championships next month.

The duo were selected for the Western Australian squad to take on some of Australia’s best cricket players.

McKenzie was chosen for the squad after being named in the 2015 Cricket Australia Pathway Rookies Squad.

Pike only played twice at club level last season, with matches in the Watkins Shield Under-15s and fourth grade for the Tigers in October.

The players will play in the Sunshine Coast Tournament between September 26 to October 6.
