Jon BassettWestern Suburbs Weekly

SUBIACO Football Club player Adam Cockie has been penalised for rough play in round 11 of the WAFL last Saturday.

The match review panel found Cockie conducted careless conduct, low impact and body contact with Benjamin Hancock of Peel Thunder.

The incident took place in the third quarter of the pair’s clash at Rushton Park.

The panel used video evidence and a victim impact report from the Thunder to assess the incident.

It was initially classified as a $50 fine, but given Cockie’s record of other offences the panel decided to increase the penalty to a one match ban.

The penalty can be reduced if Cockie appeals early.
