Wembley Magpies flying high on top of WAAFL B division

Giovanni TorreWestern Suburbs Weekly

WEMBLEY Football Club continued their barnstorming season with a big win over Kingsway last Saturday.

Kingsway looked like a premiership contender prior to the game, just one win behind the B League-leading Magpies, but were smashed at Pat Goodridge Reserve by 54 points.

Wembley had an excellent spread of goal-kickers, with three goals each from Mathew Seal and Daniel Reid, and two goals each from Daniel Sargent, Tim Noakes and Sean Lawrence.

Seal has now kicked 25 goals from just nine games this season.

The ease of the win sends an ominous sign to the rest of the competition.

This Saturday the Magpies face Quinns District at Ridgewood Park, and are a good chance to move to 12 wins and three losses against the 9th-placed Bulls.
