ANZAC Cottage: Remembrance Ceremony

ANZAC Cottage: Remembrance Ceremony

Inspired by those who lost their lives at Gallipoli, the Friends of ANZAC Cottage hosts a Remembrance Day ceremony each year. In 2016, the Cottage’s Centenary year, the Remembrance Day ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 12th at 10:45 am.

The “Field of Remembrance” will be a feature of this day and people are invited to attend the ceremony and lay a poppy in remembrance, respect and honour of those who have fallen in any of the conflicts in which this nation has taken part.

The Cottage, situated at 38 Kalgoorlie Street Mt Hawthorn will be open from 10am to 5pm on this day and on Sunday 13th November as part of the Open House Perth program and visitors are invited to inspect the Cottage and have all of their questions answered by a descendant of John Porter, the lucky recipient of the Cottage 100 years ago.

Entry is free and light refreshments available for a gold coin donation.
