Recognised as the ‘gold standard’ of ninja warrior competitors worldwide and arguably one of the most famous, Mr Drechsel will be visiting Perth as part of the Ninja Challenge League (NCL) Finals, to be held by Ninja Academy in Osborne Park.
The NCL Finals is the crown jewel of the NCL season, pitting the best ninja warriors Australia has to offer against the renowned Ninja course, which remains undefeated after two years of fierce competitions.
“The NCL Finals is the highlight of the Ninja Academy calendar,” said Dave Ravi, Australian’s Ninja Warrior semi-finalist and owner of Ninja Academy.
“Having Drew Drechsel competing in the Finals is a dream come true,” said Mr Ravi.
The ninjas will be in competition mode with significant prize money up for grabs, but there will also be a dedicated time at the end of each day for fans to meet the ninjas, and for the ninjas to meet their fans.
Mr Drechsel, who owns a gym in his hometown of Connecticut and travels all over the world as a full-time ninja warrior, will be competing in the NCL Finals against a field of Australian ninja warriors.
He is one of only a handful of ninja warrior competitors to have made it to third stage of both American Ninja Warrior and Japan’s Sasuke, the original televised ninja warrior competition.
More than 50 competitors from all over the country will be participating in the competition overall, including Australian Ninja Warrior stars Ben Polson, Ashlin Herbert, Steph Magiros, Georgia Benora, and Adam Chatfield.
Some of the highlights of the weekend event include:
• Meet & greet with Drew Drechsel and other ninja warrior stars
• Giveaways and door prizes
• Food trucks
The NCL Finals will be held on the weekend of 4-5 November from 9am to 6pm at Ninja Academy, 7/443 Scarborough Beach Road, Osborne Park.
Tickets for the weekend are $35 for adults and $15 for children.
