Breaking barriers through sport

Breaking barriers through sport

“Sport has the power to help develop the potential of individuals, major communities and nations. It encourages personal growth, is a major force in enliminating gender barriers and can build bridges across lines that may otherwise divide”. – Ban-Ki Moon, The United Nations Secretary General.

Please join the United Nation’s Association of Australia, Western Australia (UNAAWA) Women’s Committee to celebrate the recent International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

Our aim is to encourage and inspire you to get active, support your community and help promote the message that together, through sport, we can break down barriers and advance equality.
