In 2017, Red Party’s ‘Paint the Town Red’ campaign will be happening from the 28th of August through to the 1st of September.
Iconic Perth landmarks such as the Bell Tower, Elizabeth Quay, Perth Concert Hall, Trafalgar Bridge and others will be illuminated red to help raise awareness for issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and the stigma that surrounds it. Get out there and take some photos to share on social media! Make sure to use #paintthetownred and #iheartredparty so we can like your pictures!
Red Party is the largest student-run charity in Western Australia. Each year we engage over 2000 people in HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns and raise over $30,000 to support people in Sub-Saharan Africa living with these conditions. This year we are supporting Oxfam Australia’s ‘Securing Rights in the Context of HIV/AIDS program in Zimbabwe’, and advocating to reduce the stigma faced by people with HIV/AIDS in our local community.
