When the War Was Over at ANZAC Cottage

When the War Was Over at ANZAC Cottage

For how long did the jubilation that followed the Armistice declaration last? What were the issues that faced the returning servicemen and women? What were the issues that faced those who had “kept the home fires burning”?
The Friends of ANZAC Cottage will outline some of these challenges its final Open Day for 2018 on December 2, with talks at 1:45pm and repeated at 2:45pm. On this day, the Cottage, situated at 38 Kalgoorlie St, Mt Hawthorn, will open at 1pm and close at 4pm. Visitors are welcome to come and view the Cottage and hear some of the fascinating history of this heritage-listed building.
Entry is by donation and afternoon tea is available for a gold coin donation. For more information please call Anne on 0411 44 55 82, email chapan@highway1.com.au or visit our website at www.anzaccottage.com.au.
