Part of Plate and Barrel’s signature ‘Three Plates and a Chef’ pop-up events, the month of May sees them visit the Bickley Valley to showcase the nutty flavours of the beet.
Each ‘Three Plates and a Chef’ event focuses on one hero ingredient, which is interwoven in three amazing and creative food courses and then paired with stunning wines throughout.
Held in the beautiful picking shed of the Core Cider House, the event ‘The Little Beet’ is the perfect excuse to gather your friends for a night in a stunning location, just a short drive out of Perth.
The beet is well known as a favourite roasted or with goats cheese, but this ingredient will bring a lot of delicious pairings to the plates. It could be pickled, raw, cooked, roasted or even might include the rarer version of the golden yellow beet. One thing we know is that our Chef never ceases to surprise and delight!
This dinner will be sure to transform your experience of the beetroot in new ways and each dish will be beautifully paired with boutique wines.
Ticket prices are all inclusive of three courses of a ‘never to be repeated and surprise’ menu featuring our hero ingredient, sparkling on arrival, generous servings of wines carefully paired with each course, music from a local musician, meeting and talking to the chef and/ or producers as well as a beautiful location!
Please note: If there is enough interest, we will hire a bus to pick up guests and return to the Crown Casino. Simply note the option when booking tickets.
