The Department of Fire and Emergency Services have set up an evacuation centre at the Inglewood Autumn Centre at the Inglewood Civic Centre.

The fire started at around 9pm during the Inglewood Night Markets and quickly engulfed the warehouse, with more than 100 fire fighters  at the scene fighting the blaze.

Witnesses saw thick black smoke and heard loud banging noises coming from the warehouse.

Residents in Inglewood and surrounding suburbs including Bayswater, Bedford, Embleton and Morley are being warned to close any open windows or doors, turn off air conditioners and stay indoors.

It is unclear at this stage what caused the blaze.
