A MAN accused of attacking City of Swan mayor David Lucas is due to reappear in Midland Magistrates court next month.
Warren Jeater appeared in court today charged with assaulting a person performing a public function and unlawful damage, over an incident in which Mayor Lucas was allegedly hit in the head with a microphone during a council meeting in June.

The 67-year-old was represented by a duty lawyer who requested a four-week adjournment to seek legal advice.
Jeater is due to appear on August 7.
